This is the biggest middleweight championship fight in nearly a decade as the king, Israel Adesanya takes on fellow undefeated striker Paulo Costa. There is no shortage of bad blood between the two and combined with the small cage, the stakes couldn’t be any higher. Co-headlining are Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz fighting for the vacant light heavyweight belt. Let’s break down the UFC 253 odds.
UFC 252 Odds & Picks
The betting odds don’t get any better than this for the main event in UFC 252. Two-time champion Stipe Miocic, who is 1-1 against former champion Daniel Cormier and defends his heavyweight belt against him in their trilogy match on Aug. 15, offers the exact same odds (-110) as his rival in a mixed martial arts event which will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There are five bouts on the main card and six preliminary fights in UFC 252. Let’s take a look at some of the UFC 252 odds, including the main event for the men’s heavyweight title between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier:

Men‘s Heavyweight Title: Stipe Miocic (1.91) vs Daniel Cormier (1.91)
The trilogy fight between Miocic and Cormier may determine the greatest heavyweight in UFC history.
Miocic, who has won five of his last six title fights, first met Cormier at UFC 226 in July 2018. Cormier was the reigning light heavyweight champion at the time, but he climbed into the top class and scored a stunning first-round knockout to become a two-division champion.
The duo rematched at UFC 241 in August 2019. Miocic made some adjustments from the first fight and the back-and-forth slugfest ended with a fourth-round knockout for the fighter from Cleveland, Ohio.
Miocic, who will turn 38 a few days after the title bout, has been sidelined since the rematch, having had surgery on his eyes as a result of damage suffered from Cormier’s eye pokes. Cormier, meanwhile, may be fighting the final bout of his career as the 41-year-old has said he would retire before turning 40.
“I’ve won a lot,” Cormier said. “I’ve been a lucky guy in the sport, and the ability and opportunity to go out on top is unheard of.
“I think (this is career-defining),” added Cormier, who is from Louisiana. “We had three fights, and I intend on winning the third fight and the trilogy.”
The trilogy fight between the two legends will take place in a smaller 25-foot cage, instead of the normal 30-footer.
“A bigger cage is better of course,” Miocic said. “It is what it is. I’m not going to cry about it. I definitely tried to get a bigger cage, but it wasn’t in the cards. What are you gonna do?”
SBR’s pick — Cormier (1.91). The smaller cage would seem to favour Cormier, who plans to use the more confined space to wrestle Miocic. Both fighters have had a year to train for the main event.
Men’s Bantamweights: Sean O’Malley (1.28) vs Marlon Vera (3.60)
The undefeated O’Malley comes into this match off a head-turning knockout in his return to the octagon in June. Since returning from a two-year layoff, O’Malley has been unstoppable, scoring two first-round knockouts over Jose Quinonez and Eddie Wineland in the span of three months.
“It’s hard not to see me get a first-round knockout,” O’Malley said of Vera, who lost his last fight after winning fight straight.
“That’s pretty much how my career has been. Even as an amateur, I was getting a lot of first-round knockouts. He’s never sparred someone like me. He’s never fought someone like me.”
The two bantamweights have some history as they were scheduled to fight in early 2019 at UFC 239, but their bout fell through after O’Malley was suspended by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for six months.
SBR’s pick — O’Malley (1.28). Nicknamed Sugar, O’Malley looks primed for another sweet victory, which would be the 25-year-old’s third straight in 2020.
Men’s Heavyweights: Junior Dos Santos (2.30) vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik (1.61)
Former UFC champion Dos Santos has not won a bout since March 2019. The Brazilian fighter, who is 3-2 in his last five UFC fights, is coming off defeats to Francis Ngannou and, most recently, Curtis Blaydes.
Rozenstruik will also be looking to bounce back from defeat. The fighter from Suriname suffered a knockout loss at UFC 249 in May — the first of his UFC career. Before the setback, Rozenstruik had a quick rise to title contention after a 4-0 start in the UFC, in which he picked up wins over big names such as Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski.
SBR’s pick — Rozenstruik (1.61). The 32-year-old believes he could jump right back into heavyweight contention if he were to defeat the former titleholder.
