UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Betting Odds for 2018

UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Betting Odds for 2018

Odds are courtesy of Sports Interaction.

Manchester City (-300) vs. FC Basel (+800)

City

City is running away with the Premier League title and will be looking to inch a little closer to a Champions League crown as well when The Sky Blues take on FC Basel in the Round of 16 on Tuesday in Switzerland. The game kicks off at 2:45 p.m. and can be viewed on TSN1.

As expected, Manchester City enters the matchup as overwhelming -300 favourites to advance to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. With a remarkable EPL record of 23 wins, 3 draws and just 1 defeat, it looks as though nobody can stop City this season — including FC Basel, which enters the Round of 16 clash as heavy underdogs at +800.

Sports Interaction has a series of enticing proposition bets for this one, including picking the first goal scorer. A good bet is taking City striker Sergio Aguero, who sits third in EPL goal scoring with 21 this season. That pays out at +276. Sports Interaction has also set a projected total goals mark of 2.5 for Tuesday’s contest — a mark that will be surpassed.

Pick: Manchester City (-300, Over +2.5)

Juventus (-104) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (+314)

Juve

Serie A powerhouse Juventus — a finalist in the 2017 Champions League — will face Tottenham Hotspur in a Round of 16 clash on Tuesday in Italy.

Kickoff is slated for 2:45 p.m. and the game can be viewed on TSN4. Juventus, who dropped to second in the Serie A standings recently, head into Tuesday’s clash as -104 favourites.

Coming off a 2-0 victory over Olympicacos in their final Group Stage match, Juventus will be looking to keep the winning streak alive. It won’t be easy against Harry Kane and Hotspur. Kane’s 23 goals leads all EPL scorers this season and he will be a threat when he takes the pitch against Juventus. The total goals projection for this match has also been set to 2.5, but expect a low-scoring affair and even a draw, which pays out at +223.

Pick: Draw (+223, Under 2.5)

Liverpool FC (+123) vs. FC Porto (+209)

Liverpool

Making its return to Champions League action for the first time in three years, Liverpool FC will look to take another massive step forward on Wednesday when the club takes on FC Porto in a Round of 16 match, which can be viewed on TSN1.

Liverpool enters the road contest as +123 favourites playing in Portugal. After finishing as the runner-up in the 2017 Europa League final, Liverpool has proved it can hang with the best domestic sides in the world. However, they’re in for a tough test on Tuesday against FC Porto.

It’s the second year the Portuguese club — coming in as intriguing +209 underdogs — has reached the Round of 16, but were eliminated at this point last season. Liverpool will earn a hard-fought victory on the road but the match will unlikely go over the projected 2.5 total goals mark.

Pick: Liverpool FC (+123, Under 2.5)

Real Madrid (+137) vs. Paris St. Germain (+173)

Real

The defending champions continue their quest for a third-straight Champions League crown on Wednesday. Real Madrid will host the first leg of their Round of 16 clash against Paris St. Germain. The match kicks off at 2:45 p.m. and can be viewed on TSN4.

A year ago, it was Cristiano Ronald that led Real to its third crown in four years when the club defeated Juventus in the final. Real Madrid heads into Wednesday’s match against PSG as +137 favourites. Real has suffered its share of struggles this season as they sit fourth in the La Liga standings.

PSG — a +173 underdog — will be looking to get a draw at the very least heading back to France for the second leg. Take the draw paying out at +278. With that, also take the under on Sports Interaction’s projected goal total of 2.5.

Pick: Draw (+278, Under 2.5)
