California Chrome: Triple Crown dream alive and well
Talk about your California dreaming! The global horse racing community is buzzing as California Chrome, a 3-year old colt, looks to claim the second jewel of his entirely possible Triple Crown dream. People's Party: Mix of new and old shooters round out Preakness field
Probably because of the dominant win by CC in the Run for the Roses, a small field of just ten horses will run in the Preakness. Aptly named for the often raucous infield celebrations on Old Hilltop, the People's Party will feature seven new shooters as General A Rod and Ride On Curlin are the only other Derby horses that made the trip from Kentucky. New shooters, Social Inclusion and Bayern, are horses to consider on exotic tickets.
