Toronto vs Seattle: Blue Jays Battle King Felix and the Mariners

Toronto vs Seattle: Blue Jays Battle King Felix and the Mariners

Seattle Mariners: Not living up to lofty preseason expectations

Posted as the second favorite to win the 2015 MLB World Series out of the American League back in March, Seattle has failed to live up to those lofty expectations. The Mariners are a disappointing 44-52 and sit 10.5 games behind the Los Angeles Angels in the American League West. Hitting is big problem in Seattle as the Mariners are 27th overall with 342 runs scored this season.

Toronto Blue Jays: Losing track of the New York Yankees in the American League East

After showing some signs of life, Toronto posted 14-2 winning run back in June, the Blue Jays have hit the skids as they are just 12-16 over their last 28 games. Toronto rolls into Seattle after taking two of three games against the Athletics in Oakland. Scoring runs has not been a problem for the Blues jays as they lead the Majors with 513 runs scored – that’s 79 more than the 434 runs plated by New York. Sitting second overall in the AL East - Toronto is 5.5 games behind the Yankees.

Mariners vs Blue Jays MLB Prediction: Seattle has the pitching edge here as RHP Felix Hernandez (11-5 ERA 2.77) faces RHP Marco Estrada (7-5 ERA 3.22) in the battle on the bump tonight. King Felix has posted a stingy 1.98 ERA against right handed hitters this season as he’s allowed just 13 runs over 59 innings pitched. In King Felix we trust here and we'll back the Mariners with a 500 unit wager on the money line posted at SportsInteraction. Connect to SIA with the odds image below.
