Houston Texans: Steamrolling towards win 10
Houston is on the verge of becoming a 10-win team and they get to showcase their high-powered offense on national television. The Texans are in the midst of a four-game winning streak and will have to face one of the league's most prolific offenses in Detroit after suffering through a down-week against struggling Jacksonville in a 43-37 win in overtime. Matt Schaub had a record day, throwing for 527 yards.
Detroit Lions: Nine straight losses on Thanksgiving Day
Detroit is looking for its first win on Thanksgiving Day in nine years (0-8) and will have to face the best team in the league. The Lions are 4-6 and five of their losses came by eight points or less. The Lions are quickly fading from the playoff picture, coming into the game with an 0-4 mark in the NFC North, after falling to Green Bay last week. Matthew Stafford threw for 266 yards in the loss.
In what could be one of the better games on Thursday, the Texans look to grab their first win in Detroit when they take on the Lions. Houston's defense is too good to have a second straight rough game, but the Lions offense could give them a lot of trouble. Sportsinteraction.com, one of the top sportsbooks, has the Texans as -4 (-110) favorites. We will bet on Houston to secure victory number 10 Thursday.
