Justin Rose: Gunning for rare second win
Justin Rose was lucky and talented enough to secure a victory in the U.S. Open at the Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania last month. Now, he is seeking a rare ‘two-fer’ win on the PGA Tour as he sets his sights on Scotland. Rose will be challenged by the world’s greatest golfers, so he will need to be on his game.
Other contenders: Tiger, Phil, and Graeme
As usual, there are plenty of big names scheduled to take part in this year’s Open Championship. These names include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Graeme McDowell. They will be working hard to knock off Rose after he defeated them at Merion last month just outside of Philadelphia. Watch out for Mickelson.
For the 142nd edition of the Open Championship here in 2013, we find the odds at Sportsinteraction.com for the golfers involved. Tiger Woods is the overall favorite to win at +608. Mickelson has a +1200 price and McDowell is posted with a +2000 line. We like Rose to take home the trophy at +2000 odds.
