Manning and Wilson: Total Sacks Prop Wagering Call
Playing with house money, due to our successful 2014 NFL playoff run, means we can invest a little more cash on another prop betting option that has caught our eye. SportsInteraction bookmakers have set the total Super Bowl sacks at 4.5 and, while it's a slim number, we see an UNDER here. Our logic here is fairly simple. Peyton "Teflon" Manning is a willy veteran who knows how to get rid of the ball and avoid sacks as he only hit the turf 18 times in the regular season and has not been sacked in two playoff games - he stays clean here.
Not as seasoned as The General, Russell Wilson relies on his mobility to escape a collapsing pocket - which sometimes adds to his sack total. Russell has been leveled 19 times in his last five games (4, 4, 4, 3, 4) but one has to think that avoiding lost yards will be a huge focus for the Hawks sophomore QB on Sunday. The Denver defense has averaged 2.6 sacks over 18 contests this season. Bet a Bolden on the UNDER line.
