San Antonio Spurs: Best NBA franchise keeps rolling
Similar to the New England Patriots in the NFL, or the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL, the San Antonio Spurs are a model franchise in the NBA. Well on their way to a 17th straight playoff appearance (the longest active streak in the NBA) and aiming for their fifth Championship over that time span, the Spurs are the class of the Western Conference. San Antonio (30-8) has not lost back-to-back games this season and the Spurs have wins in 15 of their last 19 games - including a 101-95 road win over the Pelicans in New Orleans on Monday.
Utah Jazz: NBA fans are singing the blues in the Beehive State
When you open any sports season with a dismal 1-13 record, you can pretty much flush your playoff hopes down the drain. That's the case in Utah as the Jazz, though somewhat more competitive lately, are facing a lost season. Sitting dead last in the Western Conference, with a 13-26 record, the 2013-14 NBA first half has been one to forget for the Jazz. After enjoying a 118-103 victory, over Northwest Division rival Denver at home on Monday, Utah heads out on the road where they have registered just five wins in 20 games this season.
San Antonio vs. Utah Online Betting Odds & Sports Betting Review Prediction
We mentioned that we are facing huge handicapping lines tonight and we weren't kidding. Checking the big board at the SportsInteraction online wagering website, we find the Spurs posted as home chalk at -13.5 ATS and -1525 on the money line. Utah limps into Texas as big road pups at +13.5 ATS and +625 straight up and the Over/Under is listed at 212.5 points. The Jazz have been hitting sour notes all season - we don't expect that to change in the Lone Star State tonight. Though we don't condone "over budget" betting, we think the return on a Spurs 20K ML wager will get you airfare and a sweet pad in Las Vegas for Super Bowl Sunday!
