Atlanta Falcons: Looking to end losing streak
Atlanta has not fared well in its last handful of playoff appearances, losing big to the Giants last year and the Packers the year before in the playoffs after successful regular seasons. The Falcons will try to shed their playoff stigma on Sunday when they host the Seahawks in Georgia. Matt Ryan has yet to win a playoff game in his career (0-3), so this game has a lot on the line for Ryan and the Falcons as the top seed.
Seattle Seahawks: Magical season continues for one more week
Seattle has extended its incredible run for at least one more week as the Seahawks take on Atlanta Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks finished the regular season on a tear, winning five straight games and seven of their final eight to claim a playoff spot. With their first round win over the Redskins, Seattle has now won six straight and eight of nine games to put themselves within one win of the NFC title game.
Sunday's NFC Divisional round game between the Falcons and the Seahawks brings a lot of intrigue at quarterback. Ryan is 0-3 in his playoff career while Seattle rookie Russell Wilson won his playoff debut last week. Sportsinteraction.com, a top online sportsbook, has the Falcons as -3 (-110) home chalk. We will bet 15 percent of our bankroll on the home Falcons Sunday afternoon over the upstart Seahawks.
