Ducks at Predators Odds
My Team's Next MatchAnaheim Ducks
Sluggish starts and 1st period deficits have become a common theme for the Anaheim Ducks in these playoffs, but it hasn't hurt them dearly as of yet. They are playing with fire though with that style of play and they'll need to be much better from the hop in Game 3 vs. Nashville. The Predators are a perfect 5-0 SU at home in this postseason - they've won nine playoff home games in a row dating back to last year - and as one of the toughest buildings in the league to have success in as a visitor, the Ducks will need to tap into their own strong road play this postseason to have a chance.
Anaheim is 4-1 SU on the road in these playoffs and they've won in a variety of ways. They used comebacks against Calgary and Edmonton in their own buildings, but they also blitzed the Oilers in Game 3 last round, jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and were able to win from there. Having similar success in Nashville is going to be tough, but for extended times during this series already, Anaheim has looked like the far superior team and they'll hope to showcase that in Game 3.

Nashville may be undefeated at home in these playoffs so far, but streaks like that are bound to end. The Preds really started to show those glaring weaknesses they had for the bulk of the year in their Game 2 loss - specifically sub-par goaltending - and it could be a sign of things to come for the rest of this series.
Anaheim has definitely played much better on the road then at home during these entire playoffs, and having been in that rowdy Nashville building during playoff-time a year ago, they will be fully aware of what to expect. The Ducks are on a 41-18 SU run when playing a team that gave up 5+ goals in their last outing, and when Anaheim is able to put up 5+ themselves in their last game, a 52-25 SU record over their last 77 opportunities in that spot is tough to ignore.
