Atlanta Falcons: Returning home after first loss
Following their first loss of the season, the Atlanta Falcons return home to host the Cardinals in a battle of NFC teams heading in completely opposite directions. The Falcons are 8-1 after falling to the Saints last week on the road and are poised to make a big statement at home to the rest of the league. Atlanta has not lost back-to-back games in the regular season since December 6-13, 2009.
Arizona Cardinals: On a downward, unstoppable spiral
Arizona is in the midst of a five-game losing streak after starting the season with a 4-0 record. Should the Cardinals fall to the Falcons on Sunday they will have endured a six-game losing streak for the second season in a row. The Cardinals average just 16 points scored per game but allow only 19.2 points per game, which means their defense has held its own during this stretch of losses.
In a game featuring two teams that do not belong on the same field together, Atlanta hosts Arizona in the hopes of moving to 9-1 this year and 5-0 at home. Arizona is praying that it does not drop a sixth straight game. The online sportsbook at Sportsinteraction.com has the Falcons as -10 (-110) home chalk. We will put our money down on Atlanta with the spread on Sunday.
