NFL Draft Betting Picks: Banking on the Big Quarterbacks

New York Rangers: Still the Eastern Conference top chalk
While one has to wonder how Pittsburgh would have faired with all hands on deck, New York is full marks for putting the wounded Penguins out to pasture. That said, it wasn’t without a struggle as the Blueshirts four wins were all by a 2-1 margin and the last two contests needed extra time. The Rangers are 9-4 over their last thirteen meetings versus Washington and New York won the season series by a 3-1 count. We still like our Blueshirts Stanley Cup Championship prediction.
Washington Capitals: Semifinal playoff success is very limited in the District
One has to go way back to the 1997-98 Stanley Cup playoffs to find the one and only time that Washington won an Eastern Conference semifinal series. Since then, the Capitals are 0-3 in Round Two action including a 4-3 series loss to New York during the 2010-11 NHL postseason. Not just about Alex Ovechkin anymore, first-year head coach Barry Trotz has molded the Capitals into a one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. We don’t see the Caps matching the Rangers offense.
Rangers vs Capitals Game One Call: Will Washington be a gassed following their long series with the Islanders? Will New York be rusty after a six-day layoff? We’ll probably see a little of both but the rested squad gets the late game advantage during what will be a very physical contest. We are backing the Blueshirts with a 500 unit wager on the money line price posted at SportsInteraction.
