New York Rangers: One goal games have become commonplace
Dating back to the last two games of the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals, New York has now played in an NHL record ten straight one-goal playoff games. The Blueshirts are even with a 5-5 record in those contests. After dropping a 1-0 decision on Monday, New York can re-take home ice advantage with a win tonight. New York is 4-2 over their last six visits to the District.
Washington Capitals: Opportunistic scoring boosts the DC Crew to a series advantage
Despite being out shot by a 97-83 margin during the first three games, Washington looks for a series stranglehold at home tonight. One of the major reasons the Capitals have their lead is their penalty-killing prowess. Washington has held New York to one goal during their eight power-play opportunities. Led by G Braden Holtby (1.35 GAA) the Capitals have been very solid on defense.
Rangers vs Capitals NHL Playoff Prediction: Not taking anything away from the solid performance by Washington, we still see the Rangers as the better team in this series. With their backs against the wall the Blueshirts will be even more dangerous tonight and we expect a big effort from Henrik Lundqvist. We'll back the Blueshirts with a 3300 unit wager on the SportsInteraction puck line price.
