New York vs Washington: NFL Week 4 Opens With Classic NFC East Clash

Redskins look to rebound after their fight in Philly

Washington lost a few battles, and then eventually the war, as they were on the losing end of a 37-34 fight filled decision versus Philadelphia during NFL Week 3 action. Filling in for injured starting QB Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins passed for 427 yards and three touchdowns as he led a Redskins offensive attack that gained 511 total yards. The hard work on offense was all for not however as the Washington defense disappeared.

Lack of defense and injuries are mounting deficits in the District

After their secondary was picked apart by Eagles QB Nick Foles, who had 325 passing yards and three TD strikes of his own, Washington has to be worried about their defense. The quick turn-around isn't good for Washington either as they lost CB DeAngelo Hall (ruptured left Achilles) and S Duke Ihenacho (broken left foot) both for the season in Sunday's fight in Philadelphia. Washington lists 17 players, which is almost one third of their entire roster, on the Week 4 injury report. The Redskins have lost two in a row to the Giants.

NFL Week 4 Thursday Night Football Prediction: Since neither of these teams are capable of stopping anyone - we are leaning towards an OVER wager tonight. While we don't expect this contest will match the NFL record 113 points these teams produced in the Redskins 71-42 win way back in 1966, pushing past 46 points won't be a problem. We like the fact that we are getting a break on the juice here so we'll kick back and enjoy the fireworks with a 210 unit wager on the OVER price posted at SportsInteraction.
