MLB Weekend Baseball Betting Action Divisional Leaders Battle
Tigers vs. White Sox: AL Central Leaders Clash
We wouldn’t feel very comfortable if we were a White Sox fan right about now. That’s because the Detroit Tiger are starting to show why they were posted as huge favorites (-800) to win the AL Central division. The White Sox 3.5 game lead at the All-Star break has been trimmed to 1.5 games and Chicago could be trailing Detroit by that same margin at the end of the weekend. Justin Verlander faces Jake Peavy to open the series.
Texas Rangers vs. Los Angles Angels: AL West Showdown in Anaheim
Over in the American League West, the first place Rangers head to Anaheim with a six game lead over the Angels. Los Angles limps back home after going 2-5 during an east coast post All-Star Game trek through New York (1-2) and Detroit (1-3). Texas continues an eight game road trip as the Rangers went 3-2 during visits to Miami (2-1) and Oakland (1-1). Jered Weaver battles Derek Holland in the opener at Angel Stadium.
