MLB Postseason Odds – Who Wins the 2019 World Series?

MLB Postseason Odds – Who Wins the 2019 World Series?

It’s time for postseason baseball in the MLB and only the best will make it all the way to the World Series. Check out the latest MLB Playoff Odds 2019.

After a gruelling 162-game season, the end of September means the start of postseason baseball, and once the Wild Card games are out of the way, only 8 of the original 30 teams will have a chance of claiming the 2019 World Series.

Here are the current MLB playoff Odds 2019, starting with the 2019 World Series odds, prior to the Wild Card round:

Houston Astros 3.00                 St Louis Cardinals 15.00
Los Angeles Dodgers 3.60   Washington Nationals 17.00
New York Yankees 5.00   Oakland Athletics 19.00
Atlanta Braves 8.00   Tampa Bay Rays 23.00
Minnesota Twins 15.00   Milwaukee Brewers 23.00

Here you will find all the MLB playoff betting odds from a selection of the best sportsbooks. You’ll see our prediction for the World Series winner in 2019, and we also take a look at:

  • MLB Wild Card Winners
  • MLB American League Winner
  • MLB National League Winner

All the Vegas odds MLB playoffs are now available – check out our baseball page for more betting tips.

MLB Wild Card Winners

While they might all be outsiders for the 2019 World Series, you can never rule out the wild card teams.

The simple fact that one game determines whether their season lives or dies can be a catalyst for a great run in the postseason, so wild card winners are always treated with extra respect by their opponents.

Here are the MLB playoff odds for the 2019 Wild Card games:

American League Wild Card

Tampa Bay Rays 2.12 @ Oakland Athletics 1.77

The Rays have had a great season but fell just short of home field advantage for this winner-takes-all clash. The A’s are very tough to beat at home and have a great pitching roster to choose from.

Go for Oakland here @ 1.77.

National League Wild Card

Milwaukee Brewers 2.49 @ Washington Nationals 1.57

The Nationals are heavy favourites here although the Brewers managed to win a series in Washington 2-1 earlier in the year. Milwaukee may be a great value outside pick here.

Go for Milwaukee @ 2.49

Parlay Bet on the MLB Wild Card

This is a great opportunity to look at a parlay bet. By picking the winners of both matches, you will be able to increase your odds and get a better return than if you were to bet individually on each game.

Parlay Bet: Brewers and Athletics to win @ 4.40.

MLB American League Winner

The AL Winner odds have now been updated for the postseason:

Houston Astros 2.00      New York Yankees 3.25
Minnesota Twins 8.00   Oakland Athletics 10.00
Tampa Bay Rays 13.00

While it may be an obvious pick considering the odds available, it’s hard to see any team other than Houston and the Yankees contesting the ALCS.

So, you’re really looking at a coin-toss between the best team in the division (Houston) and another very good team with an incredible home record in the New York Yankees. At the current odds, both are great value.

We recommend betting on the Astros, although you could just as easily bet on both knowing you will break even if the Astros go to the World Series, and profit if it’s the Yankees in their place.

Go for the Houston Astros to win the American League @ 2.00.

MLB National League Winner

Here are the odds for the National League pennant:

Los Angeles Dodgers 1.85      Atlanta Braves 4.00
St Louis Cardinals 7.50   Washington Nationals 9.00
Milwaukee Brewers 12.00

The Dodgers have made two consecutive trips to the World Series and given their dominance over their NL rivals, it looks as though it will be a three-peat.

It will be interesting to see which opponent they will come up against in the NLCS – Atlanta are favoured but the Cardinals have had a great second half of the season with a 47-27 record.

Either way, LA should be too strong. Go for the LA Dodgers to win the National League @ 1.85.

MLB World Series Winner 2019 Prediction

It has been yet another successful regular season for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros. The teams faced off in the 2017 finale, which will go down as one of the most explosive and thrilling series of all time.

We’re certainly in for a repeat, unless the New York Yankees can upset the Astros in the ALCS.

We know that the Astros will have home field advantage, although that doesn’t necessarily mean a greater chance of victory – 2017 was won by the Astros even though LA won the right to host four of the seven games due to their regular season record.

So, who will win?

The Astros are the team to beat, although it quite easily could be the Dodgers making it a case of third-time lucky. Will LA be hungrier having lost two in a row?

it’s a possibility, although the Astros are quite simply a remarkable team that doesn’t seem to be showing any indication of slowing.

Our pick is Houston Astros to win the 2019 World Series
