Kansas City vs San Francisco: 2014 MLB World Series Game 3 Prediction

SF Giants: Repeat of the NLCS would be just fine

Looking like the playoff bulldogs they are, after pounding out seven runs on eleven hits in their 7-1 Game 1 win, the Giants scoring cooled as they managed just two runs on nine hits in their Game 2 loss to steal a split in Missouri. San Francisco won the first game and lost the second one in St. Louis to the Cardinals during the NLCS before returning home to take the next three contests to advance to the Fall Classic. San Francisco is 4-1 at AT&T Park in the postseason with the only blemish being a 4-1 NLDS Game 3 loss to the Nationals.

RHP Tim Hudson, who hasn’t walked a batter in 13.2 playoff innings pitched, heads to the hill tonight and the Giants have won both of his starts. Hudson has two no-decisions as he allowed one run on seven hits over 7.1 innings his NLDS Game 2 start in Washington (Giants won 2-1 in 18 innings) and then allowed four runs on five hits in his NLCS Game 3 battle against St. Louis (Giants won 5-4 in 10 innings) at AT&T Park.

KC Royals: Cardiac Kids have been playoff money on the road

Give the Royals and the Kauffman Field fans some huge props as the atmosphere was amazing in Missouri. The KC Kids rebounded from their disappointing Game 1 performance with a huge 7-2 Game 2 win in front of their crazy supporters. The Royals ripped seven runs on ten hits, that included a big five run sixth inning, making a Game 6 back in Big Blue Mizzo a lot more possible. During their sweeps of the Angels (ALDS) and Orioles (ALCS) in series that opened on the road - Kansas City rolled to a 4-0 record as the visitors.

Both of the Royals previous Game 3 contests were at home as they won 8-3 vs. Anaheim and 2-1 against Baltimore. RHP Jeremy Guthrie makes his second career MLB playoff start tonight and his first on baseball’s biggest stage. Guthrie, who is finally in the World Series after 11 years in the Majors, allowed one run on three hits in the Royals 2-1 ALCS Game 3 win at home. We see the battle on the bump as basically a draw.

MLB Fall Classic Game 3 Prediction: Kansas City has to relegate Billy Butler, a pure designated hitter, to a pinch hitters role as the pitchers have to bat in the games by the Bay. That could also affect how the Royals super strong bullpen is used on the road. The Royals fielders, many with limited experience in Frisco, will also have to contend with all the quirks and corners at AT&T Park – not to mention the seaguls. While a sweep of the tenacious KC Kids in San Fran is a tall order – we like the playoff seasoned Giants at home tonight. Back the G-Men with 300 units on the money line posted the SportsInteraction sportsbook.
