If our NFL week 8 picks are anything as entertaining as week 7′s results, then we are in for a wild ride. We made sure to go for the easiest games to pick here (well most of them) so expect plenty of chalk, an upset or two, and at least one potential blockbuster game between contenders. Let’s get right down to it.
Dallas vs Los Angeles: Mavericks Battle Clippers in California
Los Angeles Clippers: Fine tuning for the NBA playoffs
With a 112-108 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, Los Angeles captured the Pacific Division regular season title for a second straight season. Now it’s time for Blake Griffin and the Clippers to fine tune for the playoffs as they aim for a fourth straight win. Not many teams in the Association have been hotter than the Clippers as Los Angeles has won 17 of their last 19 contests. Don’t expect them to ease off the gas here.
Dallas Mavericks: In a three-way battle for a playoff spot in the West
Dallas hasn’t done themselves any favors recently as they were in a prime position to move away from the pack in the Western Conference playoff race. The Mavericks haven’t been on the road since March 16, but went 4-4 during an eight-game home-stand that ended with 122-120 OT loss to Golden State on Tuesday. Dallas, Memphis and Phoenix all sit at 44-31 as they battle for the final two playoff spots in the West.
