Real Madrid (+185) vs. Bayern Munich (+225)
Two of the best strikers in the world will go toe-to-toe when Bayern Munich and Real Madrid clash in their opening leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.
Bayern Munich has dominated during this tournament, which is why the enter Wednesday’s match as -105 favourites. It’s been Polish international Robert Lewandowski that’s carried much of the offensive load along the way. The world-class striker has scored 5 goals during the Champions League campaign and now has 39 tallies total in all 2017-18 competitions. Lewnadowski is a +300 favourite to net the game’s opening goal.
On the other side, Cristiano Ronaldo will look for a little more magic as the Real Madrid star helped his club just squeak past Juventus to get to this point. Real goes into the matchup as +265 underdogs.
Real Madrid is still the favourite among the four teams remaining, sitting at +185 to win the Champions League crown.
With so many lethal goal scoring threats on both ends of the pitch, this match could turn into a high-scoring affair. Bodog has the total goals mark set at 3 and while that may seem high, keep in mind one of these clubs can score that many on any given day.
If you’re betting the spread, Bayern is favoured at -1.5 — a mark they should be able to cover in the opening match.
Overall, this will be a close battle between two of the world’s best clubs. However, it will be Bayern Munich that advance to the final in the end.
Pick: Bayern Munich (+225)
Liverpool (+225) vs. AS Roma (+800)
The second half of the Champions League semifinal will be just as entertaining as the first.
Liverpool, which has been led by Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah, head into the final four as +225 underdogs to win the title outright as the English Premier League side prepares to take on Serie A giant AS Roma.
Salah has been nothing but remarkable for Liverpool, who signed with the Reds last summer. Salah has netted 41 goals in 46 games for Liverpool heading into Tuesday’s opening match against Roma.
Both of these clubs had a tough road to get to this point. Roma knocked off Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, while Liverpool defeated EPL rivals Manchester City.
Oddsmakers aren’t giving Roma much of a chance to come out on top in this tournament, pegging the Italian side at +800. However, the club has proved they belong here.
Salah will be too much for Roma to handle in this two-game set and Liverpool should have enough strength to get to the final.
Pick: Liverpool (+225)
