Canadiens vs Bruins Game 5: Eastern Conference Semifinal Series
Boston Bruins: At their best on their home pond
No matter the sport, once playoff time rolls around, nothing comes easy. Boston is certainly finding that out as Montreal has put up a feisty effort through the first four games of this series. Boston has to be feeling good after they regained home ice advantage with a 1-0 OT win on Thursday in Montreal. The Bruins are normally at their best at TD Garden Arena (31-7-3 at home in regular season play) and we like their chances tonight.
Montréal Canadiens: Desharnais and Pacioretty need to step up soon
Although Montréal is rolling along fairly well, if the Canadiens top point scores don’t step it up – the off season will be upon them soon. After registering 79 combined even-strength points during the regular season, David Desharnais and Max Pacioretty have just one non-power play point in the Habs eight playoff games. Carey Price allowed four goals on just seven shots in the third period of Game Two in Boston a week ago.
