Bruins vs Kings: Los Angeles Hosts Clash of Stanley Cup Contenders
LA Kings look to build on rock solid home ice record
Though they are off to a somewhat sluggish start overall, the defending Cup Champion Kings are always a tough out at home. Los Angeles (12-7-5) has earned points in 11 of 14 home games this season as they boast an 11-3-1 record at the Staples Center. A big part of the Kings success in SoCal has been the play of goaltender Jonathan Quick who is 9-1-1 and sports a miniscule 1.34 goals against average in home games.
Boston Bruins: Searching for answers for their struggling offense
Coming off a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks last night, Boston (14-10-1) will try to jump start their struggling offense versus the Kings tonight. The Bruins have scored more than two goals once in their past nine games with the lone time being a 4-3 SO win over Columbus. Boston has not been good in back to back games this season as they are 0-3-0 in that dynamic losing by a combined 9-2 final count in those three contests.
Kings vs Bruins NHL Prediction: After getting the start in Anaheim last night, Bruins goalie Tuuka Rask is expected to give way to backup Niklas Svedberg in net tonight. Though neither of these squads have shown much consistency lately, we like the rested Kings backstopped by Quick at home. Not expecting a scoring barrage here – we will back Los Angeles with a 320 unit money line wager at SportsInteraction.
