Astros vs Mariners: Houston Starts Their Stopper in Seattle

Astros vs Mariners: Houston Starts Their Stopper in Seattle

Houston Astros: Turn to their ace to get back on track

After a run of five straight victories, that Houston won by a 34-16 combined count; the Astros bats went silent as they managed just four hits during their 5-2 loss last night. Houston sends their ace to bump tonight as LHP Dallas Keuchel (8-2 ERA 2.04) gets the start here. Keuchel has started six games following an Astros loss this season and Houston is 5-1 in those contests. In his last start, Keuchel allowed three runs on four hits during a 6-3 win at home over the Colorado Rockies.

Seattle Mariners: Stringing wins together has been a problem for the M’s

Forecast as MLB World Series contenders in the preseason, Seattle (31-37) has done very little to live up to those lofty expectations. Part of the problem is the Mariners inability to mount winning streaks. June has been a good example of that futility as Seattle has won two games in a row just once this month and they have lost five games after posting a win. Riding a personal two-game winning streak, RHP Taijuan Walker (4-6 ERA 5.00) gets the call for the Mariners tonight.

Astros vs Mariners MLB Prediction: With Walker heating up for the Mariners, during his last four starts he has allowed just five runs over 29 innings pitched, we will stay away from the run line price here. Instead, we are backing Houston with a 500 unit wager on the money odds posted on the betting board at SportsInteraction. Click on the MLB odds image below for instant acess to SIA!
