2017 NFL Regular Season Most Valuable Team Prop Bets

2017 NFL Regular Season Most Valuable Team Prop Bets

2017 NFL Futures odds have been out for months now and after the initial surge from bettors hoping to get ahead of the curve, the lines and odds have drastically settled down over the past few months. However, now that we've hit August, those same odds will see a big spike in action again as anticipation mounds for the season, so now it's time to look at some of the best 2017 NFL regular season team prop bets currently out there.

2017 NFL Regular Season Team Futures Best Bets

While there are so many different ways to go about attacking season-long NFL futures bets, from picking a Super Bowl winner, to Conference and/or Division winners, many of those are often too hard to predict this early in the proceedings.

Any NFL team can have their season derailed by a couple of early significant injuries and when that happens to the team you've backed preseason, it's tough to stomach.

Instead, this article will focus on one of the more popular, and arguably easier way, to cash NFL regular season futures and that's with season win totals for particular teams. Online betting sites have had win totals on all 32 NFL teams up for months now and while some have seen significant movement already, that doesn't always mean there still isn't value in them.

Bettors could now actually see value going the other way on those big movers, so do you homework on every aspect a particular team your considering could face this year : strength of schedule, depth at each position, future odds to win it all etc.

If you can correctly apply and assess a team's outlook and get a little lucky as the year goes on, regular season win totals can be highly lucrative.

Life in the AFC North is always a grind, but 2017 could be another trying year for the Bengals. HC Marvin Lewis is the one NFL coach who can never get fired with zero playoff wins as he's been the Bengals head man since 2003 and is 0-7 SU in the playoffs.

Every other coach in the history of the league with that kind of tenure would get axed, but not Marvin, who's message has to be wearing thin in the locker room.

On top of Lewis' shortcomings, the Bengals have a grueling schedule to get through this year. The Bengals have to deal with the AFC South (Jacksonville, Indy, Tennessee, Houston) - all of which have greatly improved this spring -, the NFC North (Green Bay, Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago), their three division rivals (two of which should finish well ahead of Cincinnati) in Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cleveland, and the Bills and Broncos to boot.

That is a brutal schedule based on 2017 projections, and that's not even counting the fact that many of those toughest games are on the road.

The Lewis + Qb Andy Dalton/WR AJ Green era has to be nearing the end if results don't come soon, and sadly it looks like 2017 will be it for at least part of that regime in Cincinnati. The 6-9-1 SU record they finished with in 2016 will likely be nearly identical (can't count on a tie to happen again) to this year's mark as they simply aren't close to being better then a .500 team in 2017.

Tennessee showed plenty of improvement last year as their offense became one of the better ones in the league, and the Titans should only be able to build on that in 2017. The management made a conscious decision to get QB Marcus Mariota more weapons in the passing game with two WR's drafted early on - including WR Corey Davis #5 overall who could be the next big thing at WR in the NFL - and those weapons should add even more dynamic plays to an already very good offense.

Unlike the Bengals, Tennessee has the majority of their toughest games at home and have a legit shot at winning the AFC South if things break their way. They finished with a 9-7 SU record last year and missed out on that division title because of a tie-breaker, but 2017 should be the first time we see QB Marcus Mariota in the NFL playoffs as the Titans will be a double-digit win team.
