The saying, “everything’s bigger in Texas,” holds true when it comes to football, especially in Dallas where their beloved Cowboys proudly answer to the nickname “America’s Team.” The greatness implied in their boastful adage took time to develop as they struggled through an 0-11-1 inaugural NFL season in 1960 and a losing record in their first five seasons. Back then the wagers likely picked the Cowboys to lose, but over time their fortunes changed, the silver and blue star shone bright and the road to the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl routinely went through “Big D”.

Dallas Cowboys Betting

The Cowboys have come a long way since that disastrous first season winning five Super Bowls competing in the big game another three times. In total Dallas have made the playoffs 31 times and hold the NFL’s best regular season record since 1966 with a record of 455-311-2.

The 1970’s were an especially successful period for the Cowboys as they reached their first Championship in Super Bowl V at the beginning of the decade. Although they lost to the Colts they didn’t have to wait long to claim their first title beating the Dolphins the following year in Super Bowl VI. A second title came six years later after defeating the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XII.

After an early 90’s rebuild the ‘Boys were back on top  for their most dominant era winning Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII over the Buffalo Bills. Dallas also got revenge for a pair of losses in the big game to the Steelers in the 70’s by beating Pittsburgh to claim Super Bowl XXX.

As “America’s Team”, the Cowboys are always a story. Win or lose, home or away there’s always plenty of action and Dallas Cowboys betting lines are always LIVE here.
