American League Betting Odds

The American league is home to the Toronto Blue Jays! Which is all many Canadian baseball fans care about. But, it’s also home to the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The Jays and the Sox have both done their share of winning, but their numbers combined don’t even come close to the Yankee’s number of AL championships, nor come close to their World Series titles for that matter. If you’ve never wagered on baseball online before, you may find yourself quickly falling in love. [+]

Every summer and fall night gives you a new opportunity to choose from a ton of games. You can bet on the Blue Jays, or pick any number of matchups to bet on, every single night.

Best American League Betting Tips

Want to bet on Baseball? You’re in serious luck! Because no North American sport offers more opportunity to place bets than Major League Baseball. Each of its 30 teams will play an astounding 162 game regular season, which is nearly as many games as any given NBA basketball and NHL hockey team combined. Basically, that means the Toronto Blue Jays will play almost as many games as The Maple Leafs and The Raptors combined in standard regular season play.

Baseball games are low scoring, compared to NBA or NHL games. So there is definitely an element of high drama added to every hit, run or out. Many of the games are decided in the 9th inning, particularly come playoff and World Series time.

It’s also important to know that the lowest ranked baseball teams still win about 30%-40% of their games. That’s a bit more than the cellar teams in other sports. So, for example, if the first ranked Blue Jays are playing the last place Oakland As in a 4-game series, the odds are good that the Jays will lose at least one of those games.

When placing your bet on the American League, or anywhere else in baseball, always focus on pitching on your over/under betting. Teams that don’t give up a lot of runs are that way for a reason. Baseball is an unpredictable sport, but pitching is one of the steadiest things that you can look to in order to enhance your chances of winning.
