Washington Capitals: Headed towards 3-1 series lead
Already on top of the Rangers with a 2-1 series lead, the Capitals can take a major advantage in the series with a win on the road tonight in New York. After a loss in game three on Monday, the Capitals did not practice Tuesday in an effort to recover from the 4-3 defeat, which could hurt them immensely tonight.
New York Rangers: Trying to jump-start offense
After scoring just one goal in the first two games, including being shutout, the Rangers offense erupted in game three with four goals scored in the win over the Capitals. If the Rangers want to tie this series at two games apiece, they will need their offense to light the lamp often in front of the home crowd this evening.
The odds makers at Sportsinteraction.com have the New York Rangers as -1.5 (+230) favorites at home in this game with the Washington Capitals. We don’t care that the Caps are on the road, which is why we are going to back the team from D.C. with the +110 money line as they grab a 3-1 series lead over their hosts.
