Showing some signs of life, the Buds played decent hockey as they went on a 6-2-0 run heading into and coming out of the holiday break. The winning didn’t last though as Toronto has lost three straight game by a 12-3 margin – including a 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. The Leafs are looking to avoid their first four-game losing streak since they dropped six in a row to close out October. With a 16-18-7 overall record – Toronto is eight points out of a Wild Card position in the Eastern Conference.
