NHL Western Conference tilt features Flames vs. Wild
Winners of four straight games, by a combined 10-4 count, Minnesota currently sits seven points up on a trio of teams for the top NHL Wild Card position. The Wild won’t wow you with scoring but they are a rock solid defensive squad. Calgary rolls into the Xcel Energy Center after a 2-1 OT win over Edmonton on Saturday. The Flames also have trouble lighting the lamp as they rank 29th in goals for per game. We’re going Wild.
East Meets West: Red hot Sabres roll into Dallas to battle the Stars
Dallas is in that trio of teams chasing the Wild for the top Wild Card spot as they currently have the second seed due to tie-breakers over the Jets and Canucks. The Stars have earned at least a point in six of their last seven games. Unless you’re talking about chicken wings, red hot and Buffalo haven’t gone together much lately but the Sabres just won three straight home games. Buffalo stinks on the road with a 6-17-3 record.
