Ducks vs Oilers: Anaheim Looks To Recapture Pacific Division Control
Ducks can regain control of NHL Pacific Division pond
On a mini two game road trip through the province of Alberta, the Ducks are hunting for a second straight win in the Rocks. Anaheim earned a hard fought two points as they defeated a plucky Calgary Flames crew 3-2 on Wednesday night. Although their 7-4-2 recent record may not look all that mighty, the Ducks have earned 16 of a possible 26 points over their past 13 games. A win moves Anaheim back into first place in the Pacific, a spot they’ve held for most of the season, and they still have two games in hand over the San Jose Sharks.
There are bad sports franchises and then there’s the Edmonton Oilers
After receiving the first overall pick in three of the last four NHL Drafts (7th pick last year) one would think that a powerhouse was being built in Edmonton. Although we’re not exactly sure how they have screwed it up so badly, the Oilers are still a long way from being a Cup contender. Edmonton (25-39-9) has lost three in a row, by a 16-4 combined count, and sit second last (Buffalo) in the NHL. Expecting the Oilers slide will continue, we’ll invest 500 units on the Ducks with the puck line offered at the SportsInteraction online sportsbook.
