Boston looks to rebound from series opening loss
After Pavel Datsyuk scored with just three minutes left in their National Hockey League quarterfinal playoff series opener, the Boston Bruins look to even their series with the Detroit Red Wings today. While it seems incomprehensible, Boston may have underestimated Detroit as the speedy #8 seeded Red Wings hung with the Bruins for a full 60 minutes on Friday night. We expect a more physical effort from Boston in this contest.

Detroit is called Hockey Town for good reasons – including their 23 consecutive seasons of attending the NHL playoff party. After mixing together a nice combination of speed and physical play in Game One, the recently reloaded Red Wings can take a previously unthinkable 2-0 series back to Motown with a win in Beantown today. Another strong effort from goalie Jimmy Howard (Game 1 shutout) would help accomplish that feat.
