Milwaukee Brewers: NL Central leaders head west
Although they have cooled some, after a torrid 20-8 record to open the 2014 MLB season, Milwaukee (41-29) are still the front-runners in the NL Central as they own a 3.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinal. The Brew Crew are 8-6 during the month of June but they head out on the road after a 13-4 shellacking by Cincinnati yesterday. Wily Peralta (6-5 ERA 2.90) gets the call for the Brewers and he is seeking his third straight win.
Arizona Diamondbacks: Rough season start dooms the D-backs
While Milwaukee was enjoying a strong season start, the 2014 MLB campaign could not have opened much worse for Arizona. After posting a 9-22 record during the first month of the season, the Diamondbacks found themselves in a huge hole playing in the highly competitive NL West Division. Leading the league with nine loses, Brandon McCarthy (1-9 ERA 5.29) gets the call for the D-backs who trail the SF Giants by 14 games.
MLB Prediction: Back the Brew Crew with 1000 units on the run line at SportsInteraction.
